Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a multiethnic background. Her parents are Malaysian as well as the Sri Lankan. Her father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. Her siblings include two brothers and one older sister. The family moved to Bahrain in the late 1980s as a result of the Lankan turmoil and she was born and raised in Bahrain. With a love of the world of languages and cultures, she was a part of the Berlitz school of languages, where she learned to speak Spanish as well as improve her French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was title in the month of March, 2006; she also took part in Miss Universe 2006 Her first appearance on television was after she won the Miss Sri Lanka title. The show she hosts, Lanka Business Report, is about business in Sri Lanka. Padukone (the child of the badminton players Prakash Padukone) was born and raised in Bangalore. When she was a teen, Padukone played in many national badminton tournaments. However, she resigned from her passion for the game when she decided to pursue a career as a professional model. Padukone is a native of Mangalorean roots and is fluent in Konkani as her mother tongue. Padukone is located within the Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State in India, is where her lineage comes from. Prakash Padukone's father is an international badminton player who is now retired. The mother of the child is a travel agent.
